Reclaimer: "What would you do if you had been led to believe you were special?"

"One man singled out from humanity to become something more."

"Given enhanced abilities... ...heightened senses..."

"...And increased intelligence..."

"But what if you found out you WEREN'T special?"

"That there were others like you?"

"That your own modifications were just the preamble to something more, something sinister?"

"What would you do then?"

"Me, I'd do nothing. I'm smart enough to know when to leave well enough alone."

"But of course, what I think doesn't matter. I am..."

Is the silver- (EVA or EOD?) the narrator? He doesnt appear in the later ones. I wonder why. Is he maybe narrating all of it, outside the storyline?

I made this proof-of-concept a few weeks before I wrote the first official Reclaimer comic as a test to get an idea of what a Halo 3 screenshot-based comic would look like. I grabbed random screenshots from my own library and jumbled them together, added a little voice-over text, and released it as a teaser to the Halo community when I was closer to actually starting a comic. If you read the text in this comic carefully, you may find that certain parts of it don't match the actual events of the Reclaimer storyline that have already taken place as things changed during the writing process. Hence the reason why this is a proof-of-concept comic. It's a teaser only and not to be considered part of Reclaimer canon. :)

Woah. Just came back from the 128th comic to see how it had changed. There seems to be a lot of subtle changes all the way through the series that no one noticed but if you skip, say, 100, you can see how different it really is. Also, Jim, it seems you have become much better, no offence, at making these. Tres Bien!

None taken. This proof-of-concept was my first time making a comic as well as writing a long story that would span many comics. I know how rough my first attempts look. :)

It's not bad at all just not AS good as the new ones.
Oh, and i've finally given in to my geeky inner demons and signed up. :)
    Oh, the humiliation…

it definitley feels like the advert of a major movie/tv series. agree with the previous poster, good but not as good as the later ones.

I notice you used the same type of filtering as Winterblink over at Warp Drive Active. Were you inspired by him or was it a coincidence?

It looks like a similar filter to the one I use. I'd actually never heard of Warp Drive Active until you mentioned it here. I had to Google it and figure out how to get back through the guy's archives. :)

The filter I use for Reclaimer was actually inspired by the Bungie guys way back when. :)
