You may note, especially from “Shadows,” that the Reclaimer and Ferial have a history already. They know each other, so there’s a reason why the Reclaimer didn’t question Ferial more than he did. As we go forward, more of this history will be revealed and the specifics of their relationship will become clear.

Reclaimer seems a bit too trusting. i would have questioned Ferial much more.
