We continue Ferial’s inner monologue and see a bit more of his inner character. He’s really a mixed bag – and that makes it all the more difficult to determine his motives and agenda.

This week is the first time I’ve been able to complete all three pages in a single afternoon. It helps, of course, that I’ve been working on scripting right along, so actually putting everything together goes much more quickly and smoothly.

From this episode forward, I’m dropping the chapter/part designations. I thought they were a good idea originally, when I was trying to write this comic like I would a novel, but the further into things I go, the more I think it works better to just number each new page as I write it. So, today’s edition numbers 35 in the series and introduces a monologue from Ferial, exposing a bit of his mind to the reader. I leave it up to you to determine what it all means.

Sorry, gang – there won’t be a comic today, and Monday’s up in the air right now, as well. My wife was involved in a pretty serious accident this past evening, and I’m on my way back to the hospital to be with her. She’s going to be fine, but she’ll be under observation for at least part of the weekend. Take care, and be safe out on those roads!

I’ve been admonished for not giving another status update for this week (I’m looking at you, Mr. Kenyon g). I assure you – I have not forgotten about our hero. In fact, I am continuing to work on scripting for the comic. Trouble is, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to make time to actually create the comics once I’ve gotten them written, and so things have stalled somewhat. I am hoping (fingers crossed) to try to hammer out some more strips this weekend and get back into the swing of things. This should be made somewhat easier by the fact that I should have the finishing touches done on this site redesign I’ve been working on (this is version 2.0, since we had to completely scrap the first version and start all over). No promises, of course, but that’s what I’m hoping for.
