From this episode forward, I’m dropping the chapter/part designations. I thought they were a good idea originally, when I was trying to write this comic like I would a novel, but the further into things I go, the more I think it works better to just number each new page as I write it. So, today’s edition numbers 35 in the series and introduces a monologue from Ferial, exposing a bit of his mind to the reader. I leave it up to you to determine what it all means.

Ferial: " I'm not the villain here."
"Not really."
"I've done some villainous things, it's true."
"But no matte what you've heard, those things don't make me a villain."
"It was always for their own good, for the preservation of life in the universe."
"Yes, I've left a body trail, and it's true I feel little remorse over that."
"Better a few million innocents die than entire populations experience an extinction event."
"Of course, the threat still exists, despite all that bloodshed, so it could be argued that those deaths were all for naught."
"All that is about to change, thought. The universe has a second chance at survival."
"Provided, of course, that this encounter goes as planned. The die is cast."
