#42 - Weapons Training
So, try this one on for size. I used a Levels adjustment layer, coupled with the Gloomy and Old Timey filters, and I really quite like the way it turned out.

I like this mix. It keeps the dark, old timey feel, but doesnt sacrafice clarity or detail. I vote to keep it. All in favor?

re: John Kenyon – Thanks for the vote of confidence. Personally, I’m in love with the look. I think it’s my favorite page so far. Makes me glad I still have some flashback sequence to work through. It means I get to look at it awhile longer. :)

Yep, a better balance today.
Keep up with the awesomeness!

I like the look. Just please try REALLY hard to not use Nova unless you’re, like, going into perspective of a guy who overused his sharingan or something along those lines, and we’re good. Thanks!! :)

re: Shu Sam Chen – Awesome, that’s what I like to hear. I had to play around with some things a bit to find something that worked, but I think the results are worth it.
re: HeavenlyYeti – I think Bungie’s intent with Nova was good, but they overdid that filter just a bit. I promise, though, that if I ever have cause to use Nova that it will be awesome. :)

re: nomis78 – And that, my friend, would be the point. What would motivate a jaded warrior to become a reluctant hero? :)

Cool, this combination of filters is much better than the last page, it is very clear yet stylish. I particularly like the second panel! Great work & keep it up!
