It wasn't a point I ever intended to belabor, but Kenyon asked for an explanation on the weaponry in the flashback, so I provided him with an answer.  It's merely a training sim, so the weapons there are dummy weapons.  Never fear, though - the live arms will be broken out of the armory soon enough.  :)</description>

It doesn't really matter, though, since he still managed to bring his own 'toys' with him.  Ultimately, these are details that don't really matter overmuch, since they have no real effect on the overall storyline.</description>

And in the level Crow's Nest, you don't have any weapon whatsoever, so it's at least possible.</description>
