Um, question…. Why is Reclaimer still holding a “dummy” weapon? I thought he whent to the armory.
For that matter, why is Feral holding one?
To think, I belived you to finnaly be infailable.
Maybe Reclaimer was on his way to the armoury when ferial jumps him.
Wouldn’t it be easier to set a gametype where you spawn with no weapons and weapon pickup is turned off?
re: Rosco-128 – Exactly so. And there are rules about what weapons can be held during specific simulations.
re: Shu Sam Chen – I’ll have to double-check the settings again, but I didn’t think there was a way to set it so that players can spawn without at least a primary weapon in hand. It would be extremely useful if I could, though.
I’m not certain, but many professional machinima have players not holding any weapon.
And in the level Crow’s Nest, you don’t have any weapon whatsoever, so it’s at least possible.
This is what I love about Reclaimer above all other Halo comics: the comments.
I post as soon as I see the comic, then come back 1/2 hours later and read the reply.

re: John Kenyon – It’s a more a case of the fact that Ferial entered the simulation and was thus restricted. It doesn’t really matter, though, since he still managed to bring his own ‘toys’ with him. Ultimately, these are details that don’t really matter overmuch, since they have no real effect on the overall storyline.

re: Shu Sam Chen – It’s all good. It wasn’t a point I ever intended to belabor, but Kenyon asked for an explanation on the weaponry in the flashback, so I provided him with an answer. It’s merely a training sim, so the weapons there are dummy weapons. Never fear, though – the live arms will be broken out of the armory soon enough.
