Comic for June 30, 2008 – 60 Unity

Chaos: You may be surprised at the extent of the Cavalcade's knowledge, Ferial. True that we have not been a unity for many upon many cycles, but that does not mean that we have been entirely without our methods for acquiring information...
And even sharing that information amongst the few of our number that we have been able to re-establish contact with during our long exile.
Even with your machinations and scheming. We have been able to learn much, and mobilize even more. I believe you may find your way fraught with trials.
Ferial: This may be so, Chaos, and I'm sure that many of these 'trials' of which you speak are the product of your namesake and Legacy. But I, too, believe that you may find that I am not as unprepared or ill informed as you would like.
I have laid plans, and the Cavalcade has laid plans - and we have both had a very long time to prepare for this moment.
It isn't a matter of who will be the more prepared so much as who will find themselves most able to motivate their plans first and attain their goals. This is a game of chess where neither side can see the other's pawns.
The Cavalcade hasn't always been the predominant artifical construct unity. Indeed, no. There have been others, before you and your lot rose to power.
And not all of those unities have died out.
