Reclaimer - A Halo 3 Comic

HSAR has written a pretty cool little piece of fan fiction that reimagines the encounter between Resplendent Legacy and the invading AI from last Wednesday’s page.  You can out the story here on the forum – and let HSAR know what you think.  I really quite like his take on the event.

First of all, welcome to all you new readers who came over from Bungie’s link to Reclaimer yesterday.  Sit down, make yourselves at home, catch up on the story, and take a few moments to check out the forum for additional goodies.  I’m glad you could make it, and hope you’re enjoying the story so far.  There’s so much more to come!

Secondly, I apologize for the several hours of downtime yesterday.  I was pretty sure my webhost could handle all the traffic, but I wasn’t anticipating nearly 9000 hits in the space of 90 minutes.  It was enough for my webhost to suspend my account until the link was removed from Bungie.  I do appreciate the tenacity of folks to continue to search the web for Reclaimer, though, and still make your way here.  Again, do make yourselves at home. 

I’m on the hunt for a new webhost.  It’s likely that in the next few days, I’ll be transferring my site to a dedicated server, something with a larger pipe that can handle all lot more traffic all at once than my current webhost.  In the meantime, I’ve asked Luke to not link to Reclaimer so I don’t get my account suspended again.  Once the transfer is complete, Reclaimer will once again appear in Bungie’s news queue. 

I’m pleased to announce that Reclaimer has finally found its way to its new home.  I’ve spent the last two days setting up and configuring my new dedicated server – and learning a whole lot of new stuff in the process.  So, if you’re wondering where today’s comic update went, wonder no more.  I’ve been neck-deep in trying to provide you with service that won’t crash in the next Bungierush Special.  From what I can tell, everything even seems to be loading faster, so I think this was a good decision.  Reclaimer should be back on schedule on Monday.

Oh!  I forgot to mention – HSAR has another nice piece of fan fiction in the forum that continues the dialogue between a couple of the AI.  I’m really enjoying these little pieces, and I think you will, too.  Go give ‘em a read!
