Seems to me like this monitor is good at covering its tracks. =)

yea, this is one clever orb…this time, is it blue???

hmmm… something tells me that the translation will come just a little too late to stop the sh** from hitting the fan.

can’t wait for the next one!

re: mendicantbias00 – Um, that could be the case, I suppose… ;-)
re: eggy – Well, don’t confuse the Monitors for the Cavalcade. The Cavalcade are glowing orbs; the Monitors are like 343 Guilty Spark and 2401 Penitent Tangent. :)
re: Rosco128 – Doesn’t it always? :)
re: Chanchu Mohan – :-D

As a writer, is it difficult to juggle the different aspects of the story to try and keep your readers interested while also trying to keep something as open ended as the reclaimer ,which may be 100 comics or 1000 comics? I know you’ve said you enjoy writing Reclaimer, and I have definately enjoyed reading it.

hehe, it’s those frames that everyone knows would happen but you still have to put in anyway for plot reasons :P
nice work man

Heh. That sequence of words in the comic made perfect sense. :D Good job, Jim.

I just finished reading the comic from start to the latest page. Excellent work.
I am looking forward to keeping up with the story. I also like what you’ve done with the screen shots and Photoshop.

@Taterific-Totally agree.at some point Ill go back and read them all in linear order.Knowing the sit. so far,the outpost is NOT empty. Some gaurd of the monitor is going to appear,or Ferial has already got ther,or something

re: Taterific – Yeah, I’m always worried about boring you guys, so it’s gratifying to see the same faces coming back day after day and still be excited about what’s happening. You all are what makes Reclaimer awesome and enjoyable for me. :)
re: Larrykan – Yeah, occasionally you just have to have to the mundane scenes – and that’s when I try to ramp up the dialogue a little and make it a little more satisfying.
re: Matoro3311 – I… I’m not quite sure how to take that. Are you saying that sometimes it doesn’t make sense?!! How dare you…! ;-)
re: C0316 – Thanks, man! Glad to have another new reader! :)
re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Haha! There is absolutely nothing I can add to that. ;-)
re: Mysterioso2006 – Hehehe…. /evillaugh

Another great one, and I noticed you horizontally flipped at least one of the screenshots, hope that doesn’t lead to accuracy issues in the future!

So i has a question!!
The (insert name of cavalcade member w/ reclaimer) says that it doesnt seem that the monitor was ever at this station, however he also says that he hasnt had coms with this station for a long time, which would imply that at one time he did have coms with the station, and would know whether or not the monitor was there right? I’m confused!!
July 12th, 2008 at 3:15 am
Pikmingod: Resplendent Legacy says that he’s using the station’s own sensor arrays to scan.
July 12th, 2008 at 9:44 am
re: Sangheilioz – Yeah, I’ve actually flipped all the shots since starting this sequence. ;-)
re: PikminGod – Legacy knows that there used to be a Monitor on the Outpost and that it has been inactive for some time. What he’s surprised by is that, as he scans the Outpost, he can find no signs of the Monitor ever having been there, even though he knows it was, hence his fear that someone – or something – has been meddling with the Outpost.

Brilliant comic series, I like the way this is going. What, pray tell, will this particular monitor be designated? May I suggest, if you do not already have a name, 16807 Apathetic splendor ? Oh, and may I say, I suspect a severe case of monitor based AI Rampancy in this case.
;D

Hey Jim, I’ve been watching your comics for awhile now, but I haven’t really posted much. I guess I’m kinda shy since I don’t know much people around here. Ah, I’ll hopefully get to know them and you. I just wanted to just clarify my existence in here. You’ll be seeing me around.

I have just gotten this feeling that this encounter is going to do much more for the plot than introduce a new AI.
Does this station have Slipspace array monitoring? Might RL (Resplendent Legacy) find out about the weird stuff going on at Viper base?
July 13th, 2008 at 4:00 am
Great comic again! I WANTS MORE. I just might disappear for a while, just so I can take in a bunch at a time. Are you sure you can’t TOTALLY dedicate your life to this? :)
July 13th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Maybe the rerouting of the slipspace signal array a way back has something to do with the sensor array not finding a trace of a monitor being there before and the garbled signals. Maybe the signal array on 77 (Defunct) was rerouted.
July 13th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
Or maybe the Slipspace arrays are being used to cause interference… Ferial again?

re: Terminal Flight – Honestly, I’m not sure that it will. With it being out of service, there hasn’t been a reason to name it yet. Perhaps there will at some point in the future. We’ll just see how the story develops, shall we? :)
re: Foxboy – Hey, glad to have ya’ as a reader! Thanks for de-lurking long enough to say hello! Feel free to comment as often as you like. :)
re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Oh, it’s possible that it will push the plot along a little faster. You’ll just have to wait and see. ;-)
re: JimboMonkey1234 – Would that I could do this for a living. The only way that’ll happen though is if someone offers me a job or a contract. And that doesn’t seem overly likely. :-/
re: Uzi_Master – I’ll give you a clue – the re-routing of the slipspace array doesn’t have much to do with Outpost 77, at least not directly. It is, of course, all related, so you’ll just have to wait and see how. :)
