Interesting development with The Chief there. Also, there seems to be a grammatical error in the lower left panel.

Nice inclusion of the flood into the Reclaimerverse. too bad we cant use them in multiplayer…that would make for some interesting machinima. and infection would have a whole new meaning.

Something looks different about the top left panel.

Shu Sam Chen- I think the blurriness is due to the camera focusing on reclaimer and therefore the MC being out of focus since he’s further away.
And Jim, great job. Keep up the great work.

MC is flood, well probs not but it would be cool, you missed an opportunity to put “Last Resort” in the lower left panel, would have been a nice cheesy touch
I’m liking the greyscale in the flashbacks, what map/mission did you use for the lower panels? And great introduction for the flood

@Taterific: You know just as well as me that the H3 Theater Camera does not go out of focus.

@Shu Sam Chen: I didn’t know that. It makes sense as that would be processer intensive to do. Another possible explination is with the filter on the shot, the details of the MC become indistinct and therefore he looks a little out of place.
P.S. I wasn’t trying to call you out or anything like that.

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – What you’re seeing is probably an effect of the Poster Edges filter I use. It tends to make some things look ‘blurry.’

re: lilskii – Wouldn’t that just be a kick in the pants – Master Chief as a Flood form? As for the color overlay, that was a new Photoshop trick I learned last night, using the Blending options to put a color overlay on the image to simulate the Old Timey filter on the newer multiplayer maps. It came out better than I expected it to. That was also the Floodgate mission in campaign. It was an ideal setting for this particular flashback.

i dislike the gray color scheme…it looks neat, but i feel its too dark…but the reveal of how RC killed MC more than makes up for it…o and i notice MC still hasnt moved in the first panel!!

Well,I have two feelings about where the comic is going.On one side I say”This is really cool!Now we have ties to the bungie haloverse
keep doing this.”And on the other,”But this is another haloverse.MC is to familiar face,and sorta tightens the similarities between this and the bungie concepts.Maybe this isnt such a great idea”.Well,great comic anyway.Ill stop my rantings.Dont wanna be John Kenyon II :)

re: Mysterioso2006 – The Reclaimer storyline takes place in a closely similar universe. It’ll touch on the Haloverse periodically, but it won’t dally, you can be sure.
As for Mr. Kenyon, I really can’t say. He dropped off the radar awhile back. No clue what happened to him.

@Mysterioso2006 legacy is probably busy trying to scan the MC, and also does not know the history between RC and MC.

re: Mysterioso2006 – Hehe, part of it is, he’s allowing the Reclaimer and MC to talk. Primarily, though, well…. you’ll just have to wait and find out about. :)
re: Sangheilioz – It was never my intention for it to be anything else. But it was kind of fun to keep y’all guessing there for a couple of days.
re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Comment editing should be back. I had a couple of little glitches when I updated the site to the latest WordPress version last week, and a couple of the plugins I use got dropped in the process. I re-uploaded the comment editing plugin, so you should see that again.
