  1. Shu Sam Chen (HSAR)

    Instant Respawn Modded Gametype.

  2. JimboMonkey1234

    @Shu San Chen

Haha, I have that too!  Great joke.

  3. Shu Sam Chen (HSAR)

@Jimbomonkey: Yeah, I thought so too.

    Spawnkilling time!

  4. ArK

Among people I know, The Chief has long been a symbol of strength, durability, and resilience. Seeing The Chief die (from a battle rifle [and for the second time too]) has given me some hilarious irony, kinda like the the dead Chief piles in Halo.

  5. Spartana

Oh man that’s not good for Reclaimer o-0. But if he isn’t the Chief and just a whacked flood form, then you would expect that to happen, then there could be a whole horde of Chiefs, all with armor rebuilt from the fragments that Reclaimer could not carry out of the explosion. The end result. Not Good.

  6. Jim (TTL Demag0gue)

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Not really, no.  Just a short respawn time and a dash across the map before the body disappeared.  :)

re: JimboMonkey1234 – Hehe, y’know, I didn’t actually intend there to be a punchline, but now that you point it out, it is kinda funny.  :)

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – ;-)

re: ArK – There is a certain inherent irony to the situation.  It’ll all make more sense soon, though.

    re: Spartana – Huh, a Spartan Flood form.  There’s an idea… ;-)

  7. Mysterioso2006

Aw,does reclaimer need a hug?Chief did survive an atmospheric fall,so a little exsplosion would probably do little,at the most.Nother flashback?probably

  8. Taterific

Cranky?  That just doesn’t sound right coming from a Spartan.

  9. PikminGod

w00t…greatness!! keep on keeping on!! lawl!!
i guess this rules out it being ferial, though

  10. mendicantbias00

I think the Reclaimer needs a nap.

  11. Shu Sam Chen (HSAR)

:D As usual, more questions than answers.

Only this time, there are a helluva lot more questions than answers.

  12. Jim (TTL Demag0gue)

re: Mysterioso2006 – Well, he WAS also right in the epicenter of the explosion.  That’s a lot of abuse to take, even for the shield generators the Mark VI armor has.

re: Taterific – He is still human.  ;-)

    re: PikminGod – ;-)

re: mendicantbias00 – Yeah, but the possibility of a rest doesn’t seem likely.  :)

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Answers are on the way.  :) The Reclaimer will not be leaving Outpost 77 without at least some immediate questions answered and armed with some more info about other far-ranging events.

  13. Cooloo40

I like the way this series is developing into more than a comic in my eyes. There are so many questions left unanswered, I can’t wait ‘til we know the answers to most of them. Btw, you can see Chief’s feet in the last panel on the bottom right. :P

  14. Mysterioso2006

And I guess hitting on a dirtbed is different than being in the middle of an explosion. His armor must have shut down, making him immobile.that COULD look like a death,I suppose

  15. Uzi_Master

Re: Jim- I’m using Photoshop 6 right now, until my I earn enough $$$ to buy some new parts for my computer. When that’s done, I know someone who can get me Photoshop CS3 for a better deal than usual (It may still require a lot more money). So, did you download some of the texts you use for reclaimer, warp them, or use the standard ‘shop ones (I usually don’t use Photoshop’s texts, only downloaded ones)?

  16. Jim (TTL Demag0gue)

re: Cooloo40 – Yup, that was deliberate.  ;-)

re: Mysterioso2006 – He’s a tough guy, but there’s still only just so much abuse a Spartan can take.

re: Uzi_Master – Check out blambot.com for a lot of really great free comic book fonts.  All the fonts I use in the Reclaimer series came from there.  I’m actually due to check back in over there and see what new free fonts are available.

  17. Taterific

Spartan’s are mostly human.  The Spartan-III were the most human of the Spartan’s but still had a few minor alterations made to them.  The Spartan II’s on the other hand had several augmentations to them that left them a little less human, and a little more robotic.

  18. Sangheilioz

I both praise and curse your ability to create suspense…

  19. Jim (TTL Demag0gue)

re: Taterific – Actually, I’m not entirely sure that’s true.  The Spartan-IIIs underwent most of the same body modifications, and they were subjected to other mind-altering treatments to push them beyond usual human limitations during combat situations.  In some ways, I think they may have gone through more alterations than even the Spartan IIs.

    re: Sangheilioz – LOL!  :-D

  20. Nathan

The Master Chief reminds me of Chuck Norris. If he could survive the events of the three halo games, then I think he could escape an explosion.

  21. JimboMonkey1234

The fact that he came back to life…creepy.  I didn’t notice this at first, but his feet are right there.  Maybe this is the world of Matchmaking?

  22. Shu Sam Chen (HSAR)

@Jim: The Spartan-IIs underwent more physical changes, such as ceramic plating on bones, synthetic muscle implants, and some chemical and hormonal changes.

THe Spartan-IIIs had virtually no physical changes whatsoever, and instead were augmented with an array of biochemicals to alter their physiology and mental state.

  23. Jim (TTL Demag0gue)

re: Nathan – He is highly resilient.  :)

    re: JimboMonkey1234 – It’s a world of strangeness, no doubt.  :)

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – I’m gonna have to go back and re-read now, but I was fairly certain that the Spartan-IIIs had undergone at least some physical modifications because I seem to recall that they had perfected the process so that the resultant death rate wasn’t so prodigious.  Could be I just read it wrong, though.

  24. Taterific

I’m remembering basically what Shu Sam Chen said about the differences between the Spartan-II’s and III’s.  The reason the III’s underwent less modifications were due to a quicker selection period limiting the time to search for the genetic markers they orginally looked for in the spartan-II’s.  Due to the genetic variance the probability of the spartan-III’s surviving the same or similar procedures to the Spartan-II’s was very low.

  25. Matoro3311

Heh. Bang. Man fall down. Funny. :P
