sigh of relief oh thank god, at least i can be content with the knowledge that master chief “could have survived” (and therefore must surely have.) lol great comic dude, intricate plot and i’m loving it.
Hey, just read all of the comics tonight (and the comments), and I must say I am amazed at the depth this series has with all the twists. When MC was introduced I was waiting for the MC to say “Come here son.” to the Reclaimer
and them have a father and son or daughter reunion. Unfortunately my dream was crushed by the last window of that comic. It was short-lived, but beautiful all the same. I apologize for already being weird but thats just my personality. Anyway, I refered to the Reclaimer as daughter before because I am quite confused of the gender of him/ her. Up until the whole “I am very cranky” comment he/ she had, I had the voice of the Reclaimer in my mind as Hulk Hogan to make him/ her seem more bad-ass to me. So, when I first read the cranky line, I laughed harder then you intended a reader to because… well… you picture Hulk Hogan talking about how he’s so cranky. I was also waiting for the Reclaimer to mention cramps, and how it hates it’s mood swings, something along those lines (not to be sexist or stereotypical, it just would’ve been funny). So what I am trying to get to is this, Is the Reclaimer a dude or a chick cause that would be THE GREATEST TWIST EVER!! Otherwise, amazing comic, and I love what you are doing with the filters, both Halo and photoshop. And sorry for the long, messy and all-around silliness of this comment.
intersetting…after reading the comics it dawns on my that reclaimer may be unconsious somewhere and this is all some wierd dream…all caused by the facility!! and why was it so easy for RC to kill MC b4 but now he is havng trouble? good comic though…more answers than questions
You know, i thought the Chief had obstacles to overcome…but for Reclaimer its one thing after another…you think he would want a break…or at least a drink. =D
This reinforces my guess that he’s inside a modified training simulation.
It would be probable that training simulations would check inside their subject’s deep-level recall memories to see what they already know in order to customise an optimum training exercise.
This could easily be manipulated in a hostile manner.
re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Well, these are the beginnings of answers.

The way the MC told Reclaimer to run seems like he’s not trying to hurt Reclaimer but either chase Reclaimer into a trap to capture him or to a point where he see’s something he needs to see.
Thanks for replying Jim with an answer to that very important question! BTW anyone notice the MC stop moving and shooting in the last 3 frames… weird. Oh, BTW2, Jim did you devour John Kenyon’s soul because he kept nitpicking at your comic, cause that would explain his sudden silence. I was a big fan of his when I was reading through these, his complaints never made any sense, and it cracked me up everytime.
re: Rhyan5 – No, he’s still moving. He’s just walking, so it’s not quite as obvious, particularly with this shields all lit up.
Naw, I didn’t devour his soul. I’m actually kind of hoping I didn’t unintentionally scare him off. Some of his criticisms are actually responsible for some of the spit-and-polish I’ve put on Reclaimer in the past.
Ahh so much for my theory of a super flood form Chief. sigh This comic is getting very deep and i like it! You just need now the ‘where are you?... i’m coming to get you… THERE YOU ARE!’ in a creepy voice for the MC when he’s hunting RC. that would be good if the RC was around the corner of a wall and the camera is looking at him and the MC is walking down a corridor with a grenade in hand to where he is. Just a thought though.
Just wanted to let you know, Jim, that rereading the comics and the comments for them all has saved me from immense boredom while letting time tick away in Dead Rising whilst I wait for certain events to transpire. Thanks!
It’s quite enjoyable all around. Like most great pieces of literature, there is much that I picked up on the second time through that I missed before, thus N-tupling my enjoyment of the story.
ya its probably a good idea to leave master chief alone. probably the biggest problem with fan fiction is when authors try to delve into the original characters and somehow make them come short of the readers’ expectations. keep up the killer work dude i’ll keep reading
re: crimsonrain117 – Honestly, this story isn’t about the Master Chief. It’s about the Reclaimer, who has to deal with events that have played out differently in this universe. I’ve no desire to tread on Halo canon. I’d much rather take that canon, twist it up a bit, and create something a little bit different.

Woohoo! I KNEW he wasn’t real! Time for some fun crazy madness! For all we know the Reclaimer is standing totally still, staring off into space…
@Rhyan5
LOL i just woke my friend up when i read that xD hilarious xD
and Jim i subscribed to the mail service
and as always my faith has not been let down
I thought Legacy had been suspiciously silent the last few pages… turns out it might not be his fault after all…
But why the hell does faux-Chief need Reclaimer to run? The plot thickens… again
intersetting…after reading the comics it dawns on my that reclaimer may be unconsious somewhere and this is all some wierd dream…all caused by the facility!! and why was it so easy for RC to kill MC b4 but now he is havng trouble? good comic though…more answers than questions
“Now the software’s starting to flake out on me” – yeah, that stuff will mutiny at any given opportunity.
re: crimsonrain117 – And this is about the point where the Master Chief leaves our story.
re: Rhyan5 – The Reclaimer is a dude. And don’t worry about the ‘all-around silliness.’ I enjoy random humor.
re: JimboMonkey1234 – Oh, you know it’s not going to be that easy.
re: EinEngel – Thanks for subscribing! That’ll let you stay up to date much more easily.
re: Rosco128 – Bingo.
re: PikminGod – Ah, all will be revealed in due time.
re: Adam_Y – No joke. I think we’re already ruled by a secret artificial intelligence.
what happened to legacy? disappointed the chief isnt in this story but still great plot twist!!
You know, i thought the Chief had obstacles to overcome…but for Reclaimer its one thing after another…you think he would want a break…or at least a drink. =D
re: Chanchu Mohan – Oh, Legacy will be back – eventually.
re: mendicantbias00 – I’m telling ya’, the guy needs a nap.

Or even, hacked by an AI construct
What doesn’t surprise me is that the Master Chief is a piece of fictional software. =P
EDIT: Why is my avatar pink?

@Jim (previous comment): Of course we’re ruled by secret AIs!
They all have names really normal… like Jim >:D

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Curse you! You have discovered my secret! /cheesy villain rant

Maybe Legacy is seeing how Reclaimer will act and if he’s suitable for “the job” through all this. You know, like a shudder pop quiz!
So,how much has reclaimer drunk recently?he needs some aspirin, and a nap.Chief needs to stop messing wth reclaimers head.
Oh Jim… and I thought the plot in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was overly convoluted with twists and turns!
@ rhyan5-glad you could find this little comic.Man,the fan base for reclaimer is like doubling since the begining

@mysterioso2006: Not doubling, think quadrupling, or x5/x6
(whatever those are – quintupling? hextupling?).
It used to be just me and John Kenyon.
re: Uzi_Master – Hehe.
re: mysterioso2006 – Gotta wonder if that suit of his has a built-in still, don’t you?
re: Sangheilioz – What can I say? I just like to keep people guessing at every turn.
re: mysterioso2006 – No joke. Getting Bungie-rushed every week or so will do that.
re: Spartana – I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – I love the way the reader base has grown the last couple of months. Y’all are what makes writing this comic so much fun.
Keep up the good work Jim, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Edit: Hmm..It seems I, too, have become a victim of The Pink Avatar
Just wanted to let you know, Jim, that rereading the comics and the comments for them all has saved me from immense boredom while letting time tick away in Dead Rising whilst I wait for certain events to transpire. Thanks!
@Sam Chen-I know 7 is sextupling.
re: Sario – Yeah, that’s just an artifact of the way the system works.
re: Sangheilioz – I’m glad the series is still enjoyable on the re-read.
re: mysterioso2006 – 4 is quadruple, 5 is quintuple, 6 is sextuple, 7 is septuple, 8 is octuple, etc.
It’s quite enjoyable all around. Like most great pieces of literature, there is much that I picked up on the second time through that I missed before, thus N-tupling my enjoyment of the story.
@Sangheilioz: Nice one. I cracked up on the “N-tupling” joke.
@The World at Large: Just type my GT. It’s shorter.
Im back off vacation, almost everyone predicted this kind of thing, happening, but I still love the way you’ve done it, very philosphical from MC
re: Sangheilioz – Awesome.
re: lilskii – Thanks!

sigh- cant the reclaimer four-shot? =P
He's a bit overmatched here.
