Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to produce a Reclaimer comic for today, and there likely won’t be one for Monday, either. In just a handful of hours, I’ll be leaving for Chicago for the third annual ChicagoLANd, the Halo LAN for the TTL Gunslingers. This will be my first year to attend (I missed last year due to having back surgery a month before), and I’m really looking forward to meeting a bunch of the people I game with on a regular basis. I’ve already met a handful of the Chicago Gunslingers, but now I’ll be able to meet others from other parts of the country. So, the next couple of hours, I’ll be finalizing my packing, getting all my equipment together, and then hitting the road for the two-hour drive to Chi-town, at which point I’ll be out of contact with Xbox Live until Monday (though I’ll have access to the Internet on my laptop, so I’ll be able to keep tabs here).
I apologize for the break in the Reclaimer storyline; I know you all are really looking forward to seeing what happens next. If it’s any consolation, I’m going to try to make the time to do some serious scripting this weekend and so to bring you an even stronger story when I get back. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend, and for those of you who get the day off, enjoy the Labor Day holiday.
Make sure to stop by the forum and leave your Reclaimer questions in the FAQ thread, and don’t forget to check out the Reclaimer store!
I’ve got some bad news, kids. There isn’t going to be a Reclaimer comic for today. It’s just after midnight right now, and this is the first chance I’ve had all day to even catch my breath. And since I have to be up again at 5AM, I’m afraid that doesn’t leave much actual time for sleep. I hate dishing out hastily written comics because I can pretty much guarantee the quality the is going to be bad, so I’d rather hold off on an installment and bring you something on Wednesday that is better than what I’d be able to whip up right now.
In the meantime, reread past issues of Reclaimer, log in at the forum, check out HSAR’s fan fic, ask some questions in the FAQ thread, and just generally make yourselves at home. I’ll check in frequently.
I’ve just added some more products to the Reclaimer store. If you would like to get a t-shirt, sweatshirt, mug, or mousepad, then pop over there and order one. Enjoy, and let me know what you think of your new Reclaimer schwag. (Hint: pictures are awesome!)
Three days, three comics, three different voices. They all have something new to say, some little tidbits to both add to what is known and to what is not.
Special thanks go once again to mendicantbias00 and his site Breaking Boundaries. I’ve also got a stack of other screenshots you guys have sent me this past week to sort through, and I intend to make use of at least some of them in future comics. If anyone else wants to send me screenshots for possible inclusion in future installments, use the contact form or send them directly to reclaimercomic@gmail.com.
At long last (and at the request of a handful of readers), Reclaimer now how a group page on Facebook. “Why?” you ask. To which I reply, “Why not?” Consider it a home away from home or, perhaps more importantly, another way to share the Reclaimer goodness around and try to draw in some more readers and fans. So, pop on over and join the group!
My thanks go out to Amer then00b for heads-up on a films in his file share that let me capture the stunning image in the first panel, as well as the subsequent panels in today’s comic. It really added a nice touch to the atmosphere. If you’re curious, the shot in the first panel comes from beneath Snowbound, and panels two and three come from outside Cold Storage, with the fourth being of the Pure form inside Cold Storage itself.
Also, take a poke over into the forum and check in at this thread. It’s a one-stop shop for frequently asked questions about Reclaimer and the site. If you’ve got specific questions you’d like answered, that’s the place to ask ‘em. I can’t guarantee that all questions will be answered, especially if they’re items that are yet to be revealed, but if you’re unclear about anything or just want to know how to get a cool avatar, pop in over there and ask.

I’ve finally put together a Reclaimer store – and there is all of one shirt available for fans to buy. Provided there is enough interest, I’ll add more shirts and products in the future, but consider this a test run at the moment to see how things go. The link to the store has been added to the top of the page, so feel free to click on it and make a purchase. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas for other shirts, mugs, etc., you might want to see.
If you haven’t seen it already (and by the views count, I know you haven’t), check out the forum for another of HSAR’s fan fiction pieces. This one coincides with today’s comic and provides an interesting look at what may be going on in the background. As always it good stuff and a smidge geeky, so go give it a read. I really like his approach to trying to bring out the ‘inner mind’ of various artificial constructs.
