Wow, love the matrix-style picture on the last frame.
Are you sure that’s in H3?
August 18th, 2008 at 12:55 am
Wow, very nice effect with the two spartan lasers. but the second screen takes the cake! i feel that RC is in for some fun soon.
August 18th, 2008 at 1:00 am
I love how you used the hologram distortion for the second panel. I assume, then, that we are revisiting the Viper soldiers, since they are currently in possession of “Archimedes.” Look forward to the next one as always!
August 18th, 2008 at 2:50 am
this whole comic is awesome!!! i’m definately hooked!!!
August 18th, 2008 at 2:56 am
Anyone else totally lost on this one? Is this the bonding of the Cavalcade? Or are we revisiting the long lost Viper? I’m thoroughly confuzzled.
August 18th, 2008 at 3:37 am
I’m pretty sure the matrix style effect in the last frame is from one of those holograms on the upper floor of Epitaph.
August 18th, 2008 at 6:24 am
wow! great work! love the panels! cant wait for the next one!
August 18th, 2008 at 6:44 am
Love the Matrix-esque screen. Maybe another member of the Cavalcade?

re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – Absolutely. It’s taken from Guardian. Step into any of the eight holograms that ring the upper, central platform, and the interrupted image fragments. It’s a pretty cool effect when you zoom the camera in on one.
re: Spartana – Isn’t he always? ;-)
re: Sangheilioz – Yes, actually, we’ll be re-visiting Viper again soon. It’s been awhile since we’ve checked in with them.
re: eggy – Awesome! A hooked reader is a happy reader. ;-)
re: JimboMonkey1234 – You’re supposed to be confused. There are a couple of hints that relate to what’s going on, but I haven’t provided enough info for you to be able to piece it all together yet. It is kind of a continuation from the last mysterious transmission we saw a little while back, though.
re: linx1398 – Close. It comes from Guardian actually. See my reply to HSAR’s comment above.
re: Chanchu Mohan – Stay tuned on Wednesday. :)
re: Matoro3311 – Not in this case. This… is something else entirely.
August 18th, 2008 at 8:41 am
Very good. Thank you for taking time to make this comic. You rock…
August 18th, 2008 at 9:37 am
i am so confused…jim you are a dirty, dirty, horrible mistress
August 18th, 2008 at 11:23 am
re: spillits – High praise! Thank you!
re: PikminGod – I know; I’m evil. Just file this away for future reference. It’ll tie in eventually. :)
August 18th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
I do have to to say, this is one of the better web comics out there, and i like how Jim follows up with the comments and such.
August 18th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
I know, these kind of pages(is that what I should call them?) are important to the story, bla bla bla. But,only two panels?Wouldnt it make more sense to tying this in with another page?
Anyway, im not sure if you got my message from the last page.ZZoMBIE13 has officially left the halo webcomic scene.First 117,then Halo action theatre, which sorta left the scene without notice, now A.H.C.S!!!!!Reclaimer is like the only halo webcomic that is still active.
Sigh…...Sad halo webcomic reader is sad.
August 18th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
re: m43 – I enjoy interacting with my readers. The comments are one of the most enjoyable parts of writing Reclaimer for me.
re: mysterioso2006 – You clearly didn’t go back and read the followup comments then. :)
And be glad you got two panels with actual imagery. I almost did just one panel, all black, with green text like you’d see on old monochrome monitors. :)
August 18th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
I looks like Archemedial whatsit is looking for another Calvacade member, but Jim has shot that down. My next thought is that Eternal Refuge is just that a Location/ Place that is being searched for. Is this like the ark or something like that?
August 18th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
@ jim-Whoops! sad halo webcomic reader is also impatient =).And that might of actually might of looked cool. Ill stop my nagging, and be glad your still makin these!
August 18th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Well i’m new posting comments here, but know me as a constant user. I really like your comic, and its a good use of the Halo 3 screenshots.
PD: I hope the RC it’s ok XD, see you later
August 18th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
The second panel is from Guardian. If you stand in the holograms (you can see several of them in panel 1, right below the grav lift, for example) the image scrambles into what you see in panel 2
August 18th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
re: Bearded Phantom – It’s… something.
re: Nightmare385 – Well, you know he has to be, otherwise I wouldn’t have much of a story, right? :)
re: M Crizzle – Yes, that’s correct (as stated in my first comment in this discussion thread). ;-)
August 18th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
i was going to say “and then there were 3”(by the way can you please make that the title of the issue where we see the next calcavade member) but eternal refuge isn’t one of the calcavade? im confused/excited/curious, which is an awesome mix, I like the top panel but I’m just wondering, what’s it meant to be? Some sort of containment field?
I love the use of “Archimedial” in the top panel, nice way of merging the two storylines, or if not just plain cruel to all us fans, but funny
Another point, I know this may sound stupid, but in Shatterbox are the two AIs fusing together? And I’m left wondering will there be two voices or just one?
August 18th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
re – M Crizzle – you got told (nice one jim)
August 18th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
re: lilskii – I’ll admit – it’s a bit of a pet peeve of mine when people don’t read before they comment. A lot of reader questions get answered in the comments, and today seems to have had a higher-than-usual number of repeated questions that have been asked because folks don’t read through all the comments first. I do love interacting with you all, though, so don’t let me momentary bouts of Scroogeness keep you all away. :)
August 18th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
Is the second panel even from Halo???
just kidding, Jim. You know we love (and sometimes loathe passionately) you.
August 18th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Will Ferial reappear in the next halo webcomic ?
When did you post this Jim ?
Hey how did you get the timing right for the spartan lasers on the webcomic ?
P.S. Kinda off topic but Sangheilioz do you have a xbox live account ?
just asking
August 18th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
I do.
GT: General Khazard
Now get back on topic!
August 18th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
re: Sangheilioz – Hey, I’ll take loathing, too. :)
re: Savage reap3r – New comics go up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at midnight Eastern. The laser timing is actually two separate images superimposed over each other with a little Photoshop magic.
August 18th, 2008 at 11:18 pm
2 unknown cavalcades left…hmmmm
I don’t comment much on here, Jim but seriously you do sweet work man, keep it up, thanx flexing your talents for us.
August 19th, 2008 at 10:49 am
i’ve been follwing this for a little while and im really impressed with the story so far =]
this is my first comment and i may post more :P
August 19th, 2008 at 11:28 am
This is my first comment, and I’ve been reading for a while. :)
Quite frankly, I enjoy this entire series and hope to see it go far.
August 19th, 2008 at 11:36 am
re: kr8tos187 – Yeah, I think you’re right. I was collating my notes yesterday and realizing I still have two more to name. Now you realize, don’t you, that Ferial knows where at least one of the missing Cavalcade members is?
re: DUM4S5 – Please do! The more folks involved in discussion, the merrier we all are! :)
re: ShellShock – Well, thanks for de-lurking long enough to drop in for a ‘hello.’ I hope you’ll become a regular. :)
August 19th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Umm… someone is looking for someone else…correct?
August 19th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
re: Uzi_Master – Something like that. :)
August 19th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Hay actually I meant to ask you, how are the shirt sales going?I’m getting one today to help the caaahhzzz. Is there any way you can keep tabs daily…or how does that work?
August 19th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
re: kr8tos187 – Yeah, I have access to those numbers and so far no t-shirts (besides my own) have been ordered. You’ll probably be the first. :) Cafepress has the advantage that I don’t have to order t-shirts ahead of time and hope I sell my stock to make back my money, but it has the disadvantage that they’re more expensive than your typical shirt, especially since I have to mark them up a little bit just to make a couple of bucks on each shirt. If people like the idea of shirts enough to make it worth it, I may at some point down the road go through a screen printer here in my area and get that price down a lot more for you guys. But I’ll need to plan to be able to sell 100 shirts minimum before that’s a worthwhile venture.
August 19th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
it’s official 2 shirts have been sold now (yours and mine) hahaha. It’s the beginning of Reclaimer frenzy!!!
August 19th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
re: kr8tos187 – And to say, I say thankya. Help spread the Reclaimer word! :)
August 19th, 2008 at 10:56 pm
i too am also sad about AHCS! but this is also a awesome comic please dont stop
August 20th, 2008 at 7:04 am
re: bansheflier – Well, if it’s any consolation, I don’t intend to stop writing this comic anytime soon. We’ve a ways to go yet, and I’m having too much fun to quit now. :)
August 22nd, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Yes, it’s in H3. When you go onto Epitaph, just stand in the hologram, and you get that effect.
August 22nd, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Except that, as stated twice previously by myself in this comment thread, this particular shot came from the holograms on Guardian. ;-)
August 22nd, 2008 at 7:35 pm
wow I just read the entire series and comments this evening and I’ve got to say I’m mightily impressed! Also you have some very funny people commenting here! Their comments are excellent entertainment alongside the main comic and their theories are extremely interesting and intriuging.
Loving the work :D
August 23rd, 2008 at 9:31 am
re: Hazat36 – Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying it! And yes, I have an awesome readership. Interacting with you guys is one of my favorite parts of doing this.
re: mysterioso2006 – There you have it folks. The first, official Reclaimer stalker. ;-)
re: Shu Sam Chen (HSAR) – As long as it’s a trial for a Gold account, it should work just fine.
re: Aaron – “Author of this” has a name. (Hint: it’s really not that hard to find.) And yes, a PDF version of Reclaimer has been suggested and is on the docket for a future project. Stay tuned. I’ll see what I churn out in September.
August 26th, 2008 at 4:50 am
Well done on a great comic, but… I’ve been playing around with image ready and photoshop and I still can’t figure out how you managed to make such brilliant speech-bubbles. I mean, I’ve got the outline sorted just not the arrow to the person… Help me please…
August 26th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
re: Lead Rift – Stay tuned. I’m planning to write up a tutorial this afternoon, and I’ll make sure it contains a little info on making word balloons.
