One thing I made clear at the outset of Reclaimer is that this is not the same universe that we've all come to love in the Halo video games. It's very, very similar in most aspects, but there are little details here and there that have been changed to make it a universe unto itself.

That said, the Flood do still originate from outside the Milky Way galaxy. This fact is not mutually exclusive to Ferial's creation of the Flood infection, but it does provide some insight into Ferial's origins, as well.

To answer your second question, the Reclaimer is not on any installation, nor has he visited any on his travels. In the Reclaimerverse, the Halo network has yet to be discovered. There are, however, many other Forerunner structures positioned on various planets, moons, asteroids, etc. throughout the galaxy, and it is to several of these that the Cavalcade have taken our intrepid hero.

Jim, I've been looking at your comics all the way through. I'm just going to fill you in on something, though:

The Flood could not have been made. They are an extragalactic viral organism capable of horrendous mutation and evolution. There is no way Ferial could have created them.

And, what Installation is Reclaimer on? So far, there is only one other Installation capable of harboring Human life, and I believe it is 03.

I was referring to the Forerunners when I mentioned Tier 1; my fault for not being clear, sorry. I shudder to think, that the Flood are actually more of a threat in Reclaimerverse and already at the coordinated stage.

I believe the simplest explanation for the strength of the Flood in the Reclaimerverse is one of two things:
1. Only Jim knows.
2. The Flood is already at the coordinated stage (assuming Ferials have direct control over the Flood) when the Forerunners find it. Or it finds the Forerunners.

Actually, the Flood were adopted Tier 2 tech, and native Tier 7. Also, Jim stated that the Flood in the Reclaimerverse are much more lethal and dangerous than the Flood in the Haloverse (which is impressively frightening to think about).

Hmm...."The Flood was our greatest failure," I mean, wow. The Flood that more or less caused the self destruction of a species with Tier 1 technology? I mean, the Flood is pretty insidious (a little annoying in the game sometimes, but in theory they're nothing to sneeze at), and if that was Ferial and co's greatest failure...then what they're planning is really going to make some heads explode. If this is true, Ferial and his friend aren't Forerunner, but perhaps enemies of the Forerunner, since I believe the Flood are extra-galactic.

Did I mention that I love this comic? I would love to see some machinima ^^ and such.

Acrowleftthemurder: My policy on reader speculation is that I simply don't comment, unless it's on a detail that's already been revealed in the storyline. This way I don't unintentionally give away something that's yet to come. So, if you speculate and I don't comment, all that means is that I didn't comment. :)

I assume I was correct about the forerunner AI part then? Because I see no correction of that statement ;)

Also, I think maybe Ferial MAY be part of the cavalcade, and they refuse to acknowledge him, much like the "Family shame"
