If you haven’t seen it already, guess who this week’s Average Joe is over on Bungie.net? And in standard Reclaimer fashion, too! For those of you who follow my Twitter stream, this is the secret project I hinted at last week. Go, read, and enjoy! I had a lot of fun breaking the traditional Bungie format for this one.

Jim, I loved how all the characters were just sitting around. Did someone from Bungie actually meet up with you online, or did they just send you the questions?
Yeah, it was really fun. I took a page out of Bungie's book and set it up like a staging area.
urk sent me Bungie's standard interview boilerplate, which I then completed and turned into a short comic.
Yeah, I really liked that. It was more interesting then some of the other ones I've read. The wall of text was really boring. I wonder If that'll get you some more readers? Still, I liked how you said "Why did I have the Ferial font?" "It's called evil genius". And you said you were a psychiatrist? What is that enrolled thingumagig you do? Where do you find the time ti write this when you have a farm and a full time job?
Enrollment Analyst, sounds like (assuming he actually uses his education in his job) he analyzes applicants; I just realized after typing that I have no effing clue what he does.
No, I have a psychology degree. That's not the same thing as being a psychiatrist. For starters, psychiatrists are also medical doctors and can prescribe medications. No, my background is much more in the research side of things. I'd originally planned to go into counseling, but discovered partway through my master's program that I don't really enjoy that side of psychology and so dropped that half of my double-major. What I ended up with is an MA in Social Psychology.
My current job title – Enrollment Analyst – basically means that handle reports and requests about student data here at Purdue, things like average GPA, retention and graduation rates, minority data, etc. If we have a number on a student past or present, then you can bet I work with it at some point.
I make time to write Reclaimer, and sometimes – like today – I'm late (or it simply doesn't get done). Hazards of the biz, I guess.
So I was kind of right? You got a degree in psychology and now you handle numbers, does that seem a bit off to anyone else?
Hahahahaha. That was really enjoyable, nice!
Nice to get to know a bit more about you… In a friendly non-stalker-ish way.
Hey, wait there's only six cavalcade members there! it also answers several questions that other wise would have been just creepy…
Nice…
Yup, I don't want to spoil the final one, even in the interview.
Is it gonna be white? Haha, I was just reading your comment about mixing colors on custom power-ups.
Wait, that means…
...Nooooooo, I curse you JIm, I curse you…
Music to my ears.
Yeah, I was just about to comment on that…
Yeah, I was just about to comment on that…
Thanks! It seems to have been pretty well-received.
It's going to be chartreuse.
Commenting on the recording hardware stuff… it's not exactly HD, but I've got a vid capture cord (got it about 34 bucks or so, not very bad quality either.) I'd send you a video from it, but hotmail seems to think that there's an error in my connection anytime I try to email said file.
You could also look up Digital Ph33r's guide to machinima, I believe part 4 covers hardware, and he does a pretty good job explaining the different options (and has a nice skit about hardware installation, to boot!)
Now, about the interview, I absolutely loved the format, and the little asides. Great final panel, too!
