I know, but still, it's kinda interesting to think about, even if it won't happen

Hmm…good observation! That really could be what the symbol is…a way of contacting Ferial. :-D

Dont worry, people are just getting confused. The Machine is just The Machine…that little comment about melancholy just managed to worm its way into peoples minds…lol. :-)

Hey guys! You no we were talking about how Reclaimer had yellow shoulders and detail once and Jim just denied it? Well i found the evidence! August 2008, look at the comics…YELLOW! :-D

Jim, Marathon gave you away. Remember Durandal? He wanted to learn the secrets of the Jjaro in order to escape the universe and become god-like, maybe thet's what Ferial wants the shatterboxes for. Oh, and, something more:
    Give me an F

    Give me an E

    Give me an R

    Give me an I

    Give me an A

    Give me an L
What does it say? Ferial. No
What does it say? FERIAL, no
    T-R-O-U-B-L-E

I'm actually not familiar with the Marathon lore. That's one bit of Bungie storytelling I need to read up on.

You need to adjust your monitor settings. The color scheme is clearly way off-balance. ;)

No it isnt! Its perfectly fine! All the other comics are 'normal' coloured.

You do need to agree that 'Melancholy' is significantly cooler than 'The Machine'. It has the same ring to it that the Gravemind has. I think you should run with it.

    • Jim (TTL Demag0gue)
      March 24, 2009 at 11:46 pm | #

I 'need' to do nothing of the kind. Who's writing this story, anyway? ;)

I never signed up and I've been along for the ride since the comic was still in it's 50th installment, give or take a few comics.

I feel no urge to spend three minutes signing up.

      March 24, 2009 at 11:46 pm | #

It beats the three minutes it takes to enter your info every time you comment because you don't have to do it again after you've signed up.

That's not a joke, the first terminal on Neither High nor Low says something similar

Good point, I'll let you keep writing if you let me keep calling it 'Melancholy'. Now that I think about it, I don't suppose either of us can stop the other, unless I'm mistaken.

    • Jim (TTL Demag0gue)
      March 25, 2009 at 2:28 am | #

Au contraire, mon frére. I could easily just give you the big, ol' banhammer – and that'd put a quick end to that little business. ;)

Naw, call the Machine whatever you like – but calling it anything else simply makes you incorrect (and confusing to my other readers).

You can't kill one that has no life.
You can't ban one that has no profile.

Unless i'm wrong again. I don't think there's IP tracking and bothering to rewrite your pdf or whatever you use wouldn't be worth it.

But yeah, I probably shouldn't confuse people.

        • Jim (TTL Demag0gue)
          March 28, 2009 at 1:42 am | #

Um, your IP is logged. It's really easy from there to flip the kill switch.

I remember reading that the shatterboxs were needed to combine the calvacade, but that was like in the 70's or 80's I think.

Not really, now I can change my name whenever I feel like it. That and the fact that 'Snowxing' is relativly easy to type, compared to 'psuedopsuedohypoparathyriodism'.

Ah. You didn't thread that comment in with the Marathon discussion, so I wasn't sure what it related to.

That it did. Kinda bizarre. :)

Hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess. Me, I'd rather have the convenience of time rather than the confusion of using multiple names (or having to type my info in every time).
