Viper: A painful, blinding flash of light, and I was snapped back into my body. I cannot say that the experience was altogether pleasant.
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: Do not get too comfortable, Viper. The physical form I have provided you with is merely a temporary accommodation.
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: I have questions for you, which you will answer -- and afterward, you will be put back into suspended emulation.
Viper member now surrounded by just blue light.
VIPER: What do you wish to know?
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: Whether you know it or not, the soldier of the UNSC Project Blackhammer rebelled at the behest of an entity known as Ferial.
Viper from his right side.
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: I want to know what you intended to do.
VIPER: I don't know what you're talking about.
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: No, of course you do not. Ferial is a master at weaving the invisible scheme. I am little surprised that you -- all of you -- would be unaware of the ways in which Ferial manipulated even the 'mighty' Viper.
Looking up at Viper from the floor.
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: You acquired a program, embedded on a neurochip, that you call Archimedes. I do not believe that you are aware of what Archimedes really is and what it can do.
Looking at the Viper member from the left side.
INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT: You are going to tell me what you it is you think Archimedes was going to do for Viper.

I think it will be interesting to see what Viper thought Archimedes would do, compared to what it actually will do.

Check the recent archives. I've had a glow around the Cavalcada speech for a little while now.

to be honest though, we don't know that Reclaimer actually jumped, only that he said that it was a long way down!

I actually don't think he jumped, and here is why. Jim, i might be way off base, but here goes, i don't think he jumped, cause in the last few comics, we have met a new side of RC, no longer is he just charging into a situation, no, he's starting to sit back and analyze it, and if the first method doesn't solve the problem, he finds away around the road block. So i don't believe that RC just blindly jumped into that chasm, i think he's going to think about another way to get there.

How is Adjuvant talking to viper if it is with reclaimer?
It's not with the Reclaimer. Adjuvant is the Cavalcada that he left
behind while he hunts down the other two.
just curious, im having a bit of memory fail and couldnt really see much from the previous comics that jogged my memory.
Adjuvant is the one that captured the viper in the grav lift on construct??
also Reclaimer hasn't come into contact with adjuvant yet has he??
No, the virus is what took that particular Viper. Adjuvant is the Cavalcada that has been trapped that Viper woke up near the beginning of the series and that took out three of Viper's number before the rest of that squad could escape. Ferial has met with Adjuvant, as has the Reclaimer. Adjuvant sent the Reclaimer to go find the other two Cavalcada while it continues to free itself from the prison that Ferial built around it.
Please tell me you didn't misspell "suspended animation"... you did mean emulation, right?
Suspended emulation is exactly right. Consider the implications of that term.
Emulation? I've only ever heard of that term in the context of "[console] emulator", a simulation of a specific software and/or hardware environment in a different (but always superior) software/hardware environment.
The closest meaningful phrase I can get out of that is "suspended simulation", if he/it were an AI and was being run elsewhere than designed. Although, bearing in mind the definition above, "emulation" might well be possible. In Forerunner computers, say.

Great new Comic. And I like how this "new" cavalcade is a bit more ruthless than his cousins. And that for once Viper is more at his mercy than the other way round.
About how much time has gone by since Reclaimer originally left Adjuvant, to now? Makes you wonder just how much junk information he had to have been assaulted with, considering the amount of their processing power.

Nice to see the good old Viper again, as many have said. Wonder what Archimedes was gonna do…can't wait to find out, that's for sure.

what's more interesting to me is that in the last panel whoever this calvalcada is, adjuvant or not, has it's own physical manifestation, just like Ferial promised Portent (Meaning Ferial is capable of telling the truth). I do like the idea though of calvalcada running around in spartan suits kicking ass. Seems to me that might be more efficiant than sticking them all in a Reclaimer.
Adjuvant doesn't have a physical form, he is just another Cavalcada like the others. You're getting confused because, in the last panel, it looks like the words are being spoken by the Viper member. Though the Viper did talk in earlier panels…just look again and you'll see.

Oh, and I like the weapon choice for this guy. Took me a while to figure out the dumbel-like thing in his hand was an empty energy sword.
Yeah, that's the closest I can get to having characters truly hold no weapons.

I've had the outer glow on for a while now. I did, however, change the text border color from black to grey (at a reader request), so that might be what you're seeing, rather than the actual outer glow.
