I discovered something interesting tonight – the doors on Orbital’s Forge seem to completely ignore several of the rules of the map’s geometry. You can slide them into walls, floors, ceilings, and each other. They do seem to respond the boundaries of most of the other placeable items, however. Just an interesting piece of trivia for you to file away.

Awesome comic like always.
Thankya.
Very deep, I love it. Unfortunately for me, it'll be at least two months before I can read again; I'll be in San Antonio, Tx for Air Force Basic Training through the end of July, where I'll have virtually no internet access. However, that means I'll have a lot to read when I do get back!
Keep it up, Jim!
Good luck with Basic. We'll keep the light on for ya'.
It was nice knowin ya.
Well, if you're gonna have to miss Reclaimer, at least you have a good reason. Also, go Air Force!!
Again, thankya.
I believe that this is the third comic in a row that doesn't have some funny mouse over text thing. That's very disappointing.
Nine more until two hundred!!!
Yeah, sorry about that. It was late when I finally got this posted, and my creativity for the night had run dry by then.
Oorah! Nice work Jim. And nice work whoever took the screen shots. I like the look of welding the stuff back together
This is yet another depressing work, though it shows just how hard it is to help the universe. But in a sense, he can't just up and leave, he'd be just as screwed as everyone else and he'd have the destruction of the universe on his consciousness :p

Yeah, I took those screenshots. Spent a few minutes in Forge on Orbital to set it all up (hence the comment in the post about the doors that just go right through each other).
The whole point of this arc is to bring to light a bit of the Reclaimer's mind. He's facing insurmountable odds, and he knows it. That's a lot of responsibility and psychological weight. I'd actually be more worried about him if he wasn't feeling the burden of it.
And I did get your comic. I'm just saving it for a rainy day. I don't like to interrupt the main flow of the Reclaimer story with a lot of guest comics, so I'll hold onto it until I decide to run another guest comic week.
Ah okay, that makes sense
Sorry Jim…
Last one out, Get the Lights.
heehee;)
I'm pleasantly reminded of the first comic I ever read of Reclaimer, when Viper was discussing the Archimedes artefact. I suggested then the possibility of using a plasma pistol as a welding torch.
The first Reclaimer I ever read was Reclaimer walking down the tunnel in Snowbound into where The Machine was….hehe
Heh, mine was 120 I think, then I went all the way back. By that stage I was hooked
same here, then I went back and read them all
Also known as the best comic in Reclaimer History.
You can make it Reclaimer! Just hang on a bit longer! I'm glad for this arc because, as it is already stated, it shoes just how this gargantuan is affecting RC.
Poor Reclaimer. >_>
By the way, Jim, there's actually a reason behind the way the doors act like that—back in the Heroic Map Pack days, Foundry's "Doors" actually did the same thing. They'd go into almost all of the map geometry and immovable objects but wouldn't go a pixel inside movable objects. This led to them being used for merging objects into the ground and whatnot. Same thing with Energy Blockers on Avalanche, Doors on Ghost Town, etc. While they weren't intended for this purpose, they were probably put into Orbital for that reason, in addition to actually being able to block off doors. They reason they would go into map geometry in the first place was probably so that it wouldn't take eons to fully block off doorways.
I thought I had made a comment earlier. Maybe I just imagined that; oh well. I forgot what I had said, so I guess I can say that I'm enjoying the character development of RC.
Yeah you might of…. we have same profile picture.
Good writing Jim, I enjoyed reading this one.
same here
you're really getting good at this
Thanks, I'll take all the praise I can get.
Now I think I've been confusing you two…
Any more of this and I'm start requesting that you rename the Reclaimer to Melancholy…
Speaking of Melancholy…
