Reclaimer fan HSAR continues to create awesome fan fiction set in the Reclaimer universe. “Quintessence” is the second in a series of short stories surrounding the background and history of the Cavalcade.
This story should serve as a suitable replacement for yesterday’s missing comic. I’ve been hard at work building a certain project that I hope to share tomorrow and making a number of behind-the-scenes adjustments to the website itself in order to make it easier to present the content.

Tell me about it. Mind you, this is minor compared to what's on the other side of the gate… but that's another story.
As my last comment on your first story. Another great piece based on my experience. Good pacing and one of those hell in a hand basket unlikely miscongruence of events to screw up everything at the end.
