I did a little bit of additional Photoshoppery magic to this edition to make the laser beams pop a bit more, since some of you complained that Friday’s wasn’t obvious enough.

Yeah, at least in my timezone (PST) it comes out at 9 (I think… I'm not normally on when it does).
Around 3pm in Australia.
I shoot to post every comic at midnight Eastern. It doesn't always work out that way, but that's always my goal.
Weird, I thought you just posted them when they were done, every 2-3 times a week.
Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday at the very beginning of the day.
Truth by told, I didn't even noticed the laser last week, I had to go back and look.
Looks good. That last panel is interesting.
There are some pretty interesting visual effects from a S'laser discharge on this map.
That there are, makes me want to go grab my laser a fire some rounds just to see what it all looks like.

I can't make out that last panel at all. What happened? Too much overexposure D:
its clearly bold getting exploded… you can just make out the splaser and its beam on the bottom right hand side of the panel
Actually, I'm not sure what that is. The laser is coming down out of the top of the panel. I suspect that what you're seeing is actually some splash.
Tag got blown up I thought. Somebody is.

I thought Bold was getting hit from the bottom right too, but either way, he got hit by somebody..

He was warned not to move, other than turning around. Bold's been keeping that laser on a hair trigger – and Tag knew it.

Have you ever played Left for Dead? And I believe this guy is actually channeling either the Virus or Ferial. Because as far as we know, these infected people go into a stupor. But what is more interesting is the fact that HE SHOOK THE VIRUS OFF?!?
I mean how, when, why and did I mention HOW??
In L4D a guy in a helicopter saves you with a helicopter then gets infected and crashes the chopper.
Either that or he evolved to make people think he was saving them.
Interlopers, eh? Could it be RC or Score, or is it part of Ferial's plan?
But I don't think any of those are very likely.

I find it funny that I automatically noticed the laser sight AND the beam in the last comic and this one. Anyhoo… something tells me that Tag's gonna shake it off. Barely.

I thought he was a scratch character like the Machine, who's only purpose was to reveal to us that the Virus didn't infect all.
Possibly. It would be a good way to tie up loose ends. It's just that it doesn't seem right to me.
But what about that other guy that Jim introduced for a comic, that said he never got infected and everyone walked towards something. But I agree, it does seem more likely that Tag is not a throwaway character simply because he is Viper. Well he won't be thrown away just yet. We need to find out why he escaped the Virus.
I hope we either see that Tag is Alive or that we go back to RC.

Me neither, but L4D is more a cooperative teamplay experience, not a zombie experience. If it were a true zombie experience it'd be a mass effect style game inside a wallmart.
Zombies are a super WOW nerd thing but L4D is has the best level design I've ever seen.
Buy it if you have a good PC.
Rent it and go through the commentary and the No Mercy campaign on veteran if you don't a good PC.

In L4D you could replace the zombies with aggressive looking street signs and it would still be an amazing game.
That's why I like Valve. They actually care a lot about how the level design affects the game mechanics and vice versa. Although zombies are a bit gimmicky, L4D is still one of the most original games ever. Followed by Portal, Psychonauts, TF2, and HL2. 3 of which are Valve games.
