↓ Transcript
A glowing, blue symbol, possibly Forerunner in origin.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

For hundreds, thousands of lifetimes I slept, undisturbed by the universe, for there was none to disturb me.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

I slumbered, lest I lose myself to the insanity of isolation.

A room, displaying a hologram of a Halo.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

After the Forerunners fired their fatal weapon, I boxed myself, deactivating unnecessary systems...

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

...systems that none would need again for a very, very long time.

Another glowing blue symbol.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Do you know what it is like, Reclaimer, to have once been a part of something larger...

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

...only to suddenly find yourself alone for the first time, to know that your exile is eternal?

A Forerunner structure, a planet setting on the horizon.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

The Forerunners did not build anything to fail. I am a lifeform. I am alive -- as are all my brethren. Our systems are continually self-repairing. They are organic, in their way.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Short of total annihilation (an impossibility), we literally cannot die.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Knowing this, knowing that we would very likely be alone for all time...

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

...it is a small wonder that more of us did not turn to the refuge of insanity.
