Reclaimer 236 - Crux

The Reclaimer and Indigenous Adjuvant, continuing to speak.

RECLAIMER

This Archimedes seems pivotal. What exactly is it?

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Archimedes is a computer.

Close up on Indigenous Adjuvant.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

It was the original and foundational cipher of Precursor society.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

With it, they were able to calculate many legendary advancements in the universe.

Looking up at Indigenous Adjuvant.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Viper sought out Archimedes as the ultimate weapon, little knowing what sorrow such action would produce.

The Reclaimer facing Indigenous Adjuvant (off-screen).

RECLAIMER

And Archimedes blew up in their faces -- and the face of humanity as a whole.

Indigenous Adjuvant, still crouched in a corner, the Reclaimer facing him.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Archimedes is yet another of Ferial's pawns, Reclaimer.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

It is only barely aware, but it is confused.

Looking up at the Reclaimer.

RECLAIMER

Then our time here is up, Adjuvant. We have work to do.

Great Comic Jim! Sounds like things are starting to come together. Interesting to hear that Archimedes sounds sentient, but confused.

I also love the font for Adjuvant!

Yeah, it's a new one from Blambot that I started using for Adjuvant before its identity was revealed. I just happen to like it enough that I may not ever change it. :)

Very nice Jim, I like the new stylings. Sounds like RC is about to get back on track to hunting down Ferial.

woohoo, RC is ready for some ass kicking. although the rollover text seems ominous, or is it just a reference to the vipers mistakes?

He's not too fussed about the roll-over text. So don't worry, the apocalypse is still a fair way off yet :p

Is it just me, or is Reclaimer in Mark VI armor?

    • Jim Stitzel
      January 18, 2010 at 11:28 pm | #

Aw, crud. I changed my armor to do one of last week's comics and forgot to switch it back. I'll update the images at some point when I get a free moment.

Umm Jim? You might want to play with the filters you're using, because stuff is turning out the same colour and kind of disappearing. ex. RC's head in the first panel, and his legs in the 4th.
