Reclaimer 238 - Between Two Points

The Reclaimer running back a fenced-in equipment room.

RECLAIMER

Where the hell are we, guys?

CAVALCADE

It appears to be a human installation.

RECLAIMER

'Appears?' You mean you don't know?

The Reclaimer running down a hallway.

CAVALCADE

We know where we are. The Todash jump was very specific.

RECLAIMER

You just didn't expect this processing plant to be here.

The Reclaimer running past a loading bay door.

CAVALCADE

A great deal of time has passed since the Todash network was last used.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

We should not have been surprised that your culture chanced to put one of its facilities between two Todash jump points.

The Reclaimer running through an orange-lit room.

RECLAIMER

So where are you taking me?

CAVALCADE

We have one final piece of business to take care of before facing off with Ferial.

The Reclaimer standing in front of another loading bay door.

RECLAIMER

Benignant Charity.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

No. Charity will take care of itself.

RECLAIMER

The way you did.

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

Something like that.

The Reclaimer standing at the end of extendable platform.

CAVALCADE

It is time to take another leap, Reclaimer.

RECLAIMER

This never gets old for you guys, does it?

INDIGENOUS ADJUVANT

It never does.

I think they're just testing his nerves and his trust. Plus the RC is obviously a bungee-jumper in his spare time.

He has spare time?? Sheesh who's saving the galaxy then??

And a parachute would be good. Or maybe a jetpack?? Seriously it's the 26th century!

and y'know, even the brutes have jetpacks. but then again, that's the haloverse, not the reclaimerverse…

You'd think they'd have figured out he has plenty of nerve and trustworthiness by now… :)

Yeah, enough nerve to find some stairs… You'd think they'd have figured out that he is not suicidal by now…

            Crazy maybe, but not suicidal…

Woah Woah Woah!! Stop the Todash jumping I want to get off!! Did I miss something, cause last thing i remember RC was talking to Indigenous Adjuvant. When did he make this jump?? Other that that, i've been LOVING this regular schedule again. I am a long time reader, I just don't make that many posts. Keep it up Jim!!

          January 23, 2010 at 3:03 pm | #

It's artistic license. Once it's clear how Todash jumps work, I don't see any need to specifically show them every time now. :)

Wait there are actual set points in the Reclaimerverse where the Todash Gates lead to? I thought it could send you anywhere you wanted, not unlike teleporting.

    • Jim Stitzel
      January 23, 2010 at 3:04 pm | #

Some of the gates can access any other gate in the universe. Most, though, have a specific junction that they meet up with, making them a bit like highway interchanges.

Not to be a persistent prick, but unless I'm not getting the right version, or that's not RC, he's still not in the right armor. Because the RC that I am seeing does not have Hayabusa shoulders. Maybe I'm not getting the most up to date version of the comic, but in the one I see, RC has on normal shoulders. No offense meant and thanks again for the great comic!

No, but in 236 someone pointed out that the shoulders were wrong, and Jim said he fixed them. I was just pointing out that they were still wrong. I didn't want RC to have the wrong shoulders forever. lol
