I recently started reading this and I must say, I have been made an addict! The pacing is perfect and the style is awesome. And I love how you tied in the Forerunners and Precursors! (Gotta love the Forerunners )
Ooo Jim getting all artsy now. I thought the first panel was some clever trickery of a map to look like a face. Then I scrolled more and was like oh…wow!
Yes, very nice indeed. Though I actually believe this whole comic was made from one specific screenshot, and Jim just took several different distances :p
Oh, no! Not at all! I was just pointing out that you managed to create a very interesting atmosphere with what was effectively parts of the same screenshot!
Very nice language used in this comic Jim! I got the feeling that Ferial was a megalomaniac just from his speech in this one :p Plus it was nice to see him make his debut in the new hawtness :p
And I already know I'm going to run into one unexpected problem with Halo: Reach. There's no way that I know of to put a Spartan and an Elite into the same game of Slayer. Invasion is the only gametype I'm aware of that pits them against each, and that variant forces armor color. I'm not really sure how to get around this when I need Ferial and the Reclaimer to be in the same scene together. Problems for another day…
No, actually the player model is used by default in custom games to my knowledge. Just set up a custom slayer game with RC and Ferial (using two different accounts) and set Ferial's to preferred species as Elite.
No, it doesn't. If someone in the account "A" has set Elite as a preferred species, in the Custom Games that allow it, they will be an Elite. You just need 2 accounts. Set one preferred species to Elite and the other to Spartan and that solves your problem.
I'm detecting the approach of an impending climax. The question is: is the ultimate climax to end all climaxes in Reclaimer, or just another step along the way to the true final battle between Ferial and Reclaimer for the soul of the universe?
So glad Reclaimer is back! I've been waiting for a while to say that, in case it turned out to be a false alarm lol
No false alarms this time, I'm please to say.
Yay!!!
Enough said

Welcome! Glad to have you aboard!

Is that a good "oh…wow!" or a bad "oh…wow?"
Yes, very nice indeed. Though I actually believe this whole comic was made from one specific screenshot, and Jim just took several different distances :p
So what if it was?
Oh, no! Not at all! I was just pointing out that you managed to create a very interesting atmosphere with what was effectively parts of the same screenshot!
Sheesh, someones antsy
Hehe, sometimes I just like to foment a reaction. Remember, I have an advanced degree in psychology. I like to play mind games.
You monster….
But I reckon you're just saying that :p
And the beauty of it is that you will never know for sure, will you? ;-P

And he uses skulls as his whetstones :p
Glad you enjoyed it!

You could use infection if I'm not mistaken (though I probably am :p ) or possibly firefight versus mode although then maps are limited.
Never really messed around with either though.
I'll look into infection, but I suspect I'm going to run into the same limitations there I have everywhere else so far.

Doesn't that still force the player to Spartan, though? Guess I'll have to play with it a bit tonight and see.
As far as I know, it doesn't in private custom games.
Hm, guess I'll have to try that, then.
correct! I know this because I play as an elite by default and my team kept shooting me coz i was big and scary…. at least thats what they said!
I love how ferial has a magnum strapped to his thigh
Good to know. Now I just need a second player model with the appropriate armor unlocked.
And the magnum is a call back way to the beginning. Ferial has always favored that particular weapon.
No, it doesn't. If someone in the account "A" has set Elite as a preferred species, in the Custom Games that allow it, they will be an Elite. You just need 2 accounts. Set one preferred species to Elite and the other to Spartan and that solves your problem.
Always glad to see new readers!
Maybe I should take long breaks more often….

We shall see. Even I'm not certain of that at this point.
