New Commenting Policy

Thanks the emergence over the last few days of comment trolls, spotlight queens, and people who just can’t seem to mind the rules around here, I’ve had to change the commenting policy just a bit. All comments are now going straight into moderation before appearing on the site, so don’t panic if you don’t see your comments right away. I have to go through and clear everything through the queue first. This is something I had hoped I would never have to do, but thanks to a handful of folks who insist on ruining the experience for everyone else, I now have to enforce a stricter policy for discussion.

There is a bright side, however. Those of you who are regulars will likely not notice any difference. Preferential treatment is being given to those who have IntenseDebate or WordPress.com accounts. So, if you’ve been holding out on getting one of those accounts, there’s never been a better time than now. That said, that still isn’t an automatic ‘in’, so to speak. You still have to be approved up to a certain reputation score, in order to prevent the trolls from further circumventing the system.

It bugs me that it’s come to this, but unfortunately, there’s no way around it, at least for now. I may relax the policy again at some indeterminate point in the future, but for now this is just the way things have to be.

I just want to say that it’s a pity that it’s coming to an end soon, and that I’m really, really very happy that I found out about it just in time! I’ve been reading it right from the start and was wondering if you were gonna turn it into a book :D

And just what’s so wrong with the DMR, eh? It’s a perfectly acceptable weapon—powerful, extremely accurate, and versatile. You can take down an enemy at 400 yards with one of these wonderful weapons, re-arrange the geography of your opponent’s face with nothing more than the butt of the rifle, and stir two sugars and three creams into your coffee with the barrel. See what I mean about versatile?

First Question: Have you ever thought of doing correspondence work with Rooster Teeth? Second Question: Did you come up with the term Precursor or did Bungie?

1) What do you mean by correspondence work? 2) The term ‘Precursor’ is all Bungie. I don’t even exactly remember where it first crops up. I just borrowed it and built upon it.

So are the viper dudes good guys that are doing wrong without knowing it? In your comic, is the unsc kind of bad in terms of how they treated the viper?

They are a group that had their own agenda initially. They split from the UNSC before being subsumed by Ferial.

In the Reclaimerverse, the UNSC is more of a dark organization than they are in the original Haloverse. Their method of dealing with the Flood threat has led them to more of a heavy-handed mode of operation, and their methods have not always been altogether moral or upright. Hence the reason why the Reclaimer is more of an independent operator now and why Viper originally rebelled.
